The K7M is one of the most popular Athlon motherboards on the market today.  While it is based on the older AMD 750 chipset, its support for overclocked FSB settings, as well as the well-trusted ASUS name, make it a very popular solution.

ASUS has only recently started publicizing the board, but unfortunately, they started doing so very close to the release of the KX133 chipset, which means that the interest in this board has definitely died down.

There is no real reason to opt for the K7M over a newer KX133 board, especially at this point in time.  Even if you can’t find the KX133 board you want, you’re better off waiting than picking up a board based on the older AMD 750 solution.

ASUS K7M-RM

The K7M-RM is the microATX version of the K7M and should perform identically to its larger brother in terms of speed as well as stability.
